After a hot, dusty and sweaty day in Pompeii, to say we were excited about our stay in the small coastal town of Praiano would be a massive understatement. As soon as we arrived, Dan and I raced down about 400 stairs to a beautiful little cove for an afternoon swim. Half way down, Dan laughed and said “I feel like I’m in a travel magazine.” That pretty much sums up our time here.
Praiano was a super relaxed town on a steep cliff face on the Amalfi Coast, right in between the towns of Amalfi and Positano. It wasn’t crowded unlike its famous neighbours, but it was equally as beautiful and had a very “local” Italian feel to it. We spoiled ourselves with an apartment with 180 degree views of the sea and Positano, and spent our time swimming, canoeing, relaxing and enjoying the amazing bars overlooking the sea.
